Games against potential Play off opponents

Just for fun -

Based on our 2 games against them -

Watford lost 4 - 1
Palace drew 3 - 3 > into extra time
Leicester lost 2 - 1
Bolton lost 2 - 1
Forest drew 2 - 2 > into extra time

I know we got to get there first but based on the above would probably prefer Palace. Don't buy into the form thing yet as still 3 games to gain or lose form.

Also worth noting alot of these results were before Ulloa and Upson.

Nice bit of battle shown by our players recently and good to see us standing up physically now. Tough to call anything in Play offs but good a chance as any.

Hypothetical at this stage but still worth a discussion.

I'd rather we played forest. Feel we are a better side then them.

me to, cant see them making it though. New manager effect seems to of taken a dip and fancy Leicester to get a point there if required.

I'd rather avoid Watford and Leicester.
We were unlucky in both games against Bolton - unfinished business there...

An ideal scenario for me is
Watford 3rd
Brighton 4th
Leicester 5th
Palace 6th

Watford v Brighton final because at Wembley it's anyone's game.

Without wanting to sound as if we are a one man side, Ulloa has made us a far better team, poor old CMS should never have been playing the role Gus asked of him, he was never going to be efficient. How can you ask a player who hasn't got the best touch and hasn't got the aerial presence to play that role, i wondered what was going around Gus's head for all those matches


So as long as Ulloa and PIG are playing if we make play offs, i will feel more comfortable................comfortable probably not the right word!

Not Palace in the semis. I don't want them back at the AMEX this year.

Let them get knocked out by someone else before Wembley.

................................injury lists, big balls, and strong mental focus will be all what matters when the play offs come.

....i am starting to think our name is on that play off cup

watford bottled it.
palace bottled it.
bolton are average.
forest only good at home.
leicester low on confidence.

In all fairness given out current form, I think those teams will be more worries about playing US then we should about playing THEM.

They way we will set up to play these games will make us incredibly difficult to play against and beat.

The form can change in an instant . For Leicester to make play offs they have beaten Bolton and prob need to get something v palace , Watford and forest . Do that and their form and confidence be well up .
To early for form to be relevant imo

We won 1-0 away at watford and lost 3-1 at home i make that 3-2

If Leicester get to the playoffs it will be because they had picked up at least 7 points from their remaining 3 games. They won't be low on confidence then and may be the real form team.

So we play Bolton over 2 legs and then hopefully Watord at Wembley.
