A nine-match unbeaten run could go at London Road tonight – one way or another.
Peterborough are unbeaten in nine games, the best current undefeated series in the Championship.
But Albion have not lost on any of their last nine visits to London Road.
The Seagulls won 2-1 last season, shrugging off the fatigue of a long midweek trek to Wrexham to grab the points through two Will Buckley goals.
A 3-0 success at the same venue the previous season is widely considered as one of the finest team performances under the management of Gus Poyet.
Albion have won five out of five against Peterborough home and away since Poyet took charge.
Simon Clark scored for both teams when the Seagulls suffered their last defeat in this fixture, by 3-1 back in August 1995.
Older fans might recall a trip to Posh back in 1986, when the sides drew 2-2 on a snow-covered pitch.
You do not have go too far back for a time when Posh had the edge in these fixtures.
Albion were delighted to head home with a 0-0 draw back in 2008-09 and were hammered 4-2 in the return at Withdean with Craig Mackail-Smith among the scorers for Posh.
