Jonathan Woodgate helps Middlesbrough to their 1-0 win at The Amex this season
Middlesbrough could be missing their former England defender when they face Albion today.
But they will be determined to give the Teesside faithful something to cheer after a nightmare recent run.
Boro have taken just one point from their last six games to end realistic hopes of promotion.
The 1-0 defeat at Hull last week was compounded by the loss through concussion of Jonathan Woodgate.
The former Real Madrid and Spurs man is not definitely out of today’s game but is expected to sit it out with Andre Bikey taking his place.
Boro are tipped to go 4-4-2 with Lukas Jutkiewicz and Scott McDonald in attack although the former is a slight doubt.
They are missing left-back George Friend while Marvin Emnes and former Albion trialist Emmanuel Ledesma have been struggling with knocks.
Boro boss Tony Mowbray is a big fan of how Albion play their football but would love to lift spirits by beating them today.
He said: “We have a responsibility to go out and win some matches. We’re finding that tough because we are not scoring enough goals but I don’t think the belief has ever gone.”
For a full Boro scouting report, Mowbray's views on Albion and all the facts and stats you need for today's game, see our five-page preview in The Argus today.
