I've seen people asking when the games are should we hold on and stay in the top six

FL has confirmed the following:

1st Leg Match A - Thursday 9th May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm
1st Leg Match B - Friday 10th May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm

2nd Leg Match A - Sunday 12th May 2013, kick-off 12.30pm
2nd Leg Match B - Monday 13th May 2013, kick-off 7.45pm

The Final will take place at Wembley on Monday 27th May 2013, with a 3pm kick-off.

Not 100% sure but you'd assume that match A would be 3rd vs 6th.*

*EDIT: I tweeted the FL to ask them but they said it all depends who the teams are as to who plays when (and they pointed out it is 3rd vs 6th and 4th vs 5th. Always thought it was 3rdv5th)

3rd doesn't play 5th

Typical. I have an exam on the morning of the 14th. Here's hoping for game A!

Also, if we're involved, the home match will most likely be on the 1st leg.

Why's that? Really hope you're right as might not be able to make 2nd leg.

Because the teams that finish 5th and 6th play at home first, giving the higher placed team the advantage of a home leg second.

Why's a home leg 2nd an advantage? Away goals don't come into it.

That's why it's an advantage. You get extra time and penalties at home without the threat of an away goal in extra time killing you off.

I spose - if it came to it - extra time and pens being at home IS an advantage.
