Lottery lucky dips

I think I have mentioned this before, but how random are the 6 numbers ?

Every time I buy a lucky dip with my normal set of numbers the lucky dips always contain the same numbers.

For example last night my lucky dips were:

15,24,33,40,41,48

11,21,25,33,40,49

15,25,33,40,47,48

And my normal 6 numbers being:

11,21,22,41,47,48

Am I just going mad or does anybody else see the same thing when they buy lottery lucky dips ??

Wouldn't worry about it too much as I think you may have won a tenner or so with your usual numbers...

Happens to me as well. Hate it as statistically reduces the chances of your numbers coming up.

I only ever do lucky dips but never look at the numbers or check them - I rely on getting emails and my online account being updated if I win. Those numbers don't look particularly random, I agree, of course proper "random" means anything can happen, so it is possible. I would assume, but maybe I'm being too trusting - that the lottery is overseen correctly so that the maths is all correct. Perhaps I'll pay more attention now.

I was a bit miffed when I got 5 numbers correct in a £25m xmas draw a few years ago and "only" won £3,000

if it's any consolation, my lil bro got £900 for his 5 numbers just before xmas, think he was happy, but not sure really....

Have noticed the sane thing on the occasions I do the lottery. But hey ho I never win anyway

It's true,it happens to me as well,although I had a right touch when I got 4 numbers up on two lines and pocketed £108.
