Bognor beat Hastings last night, which means they will play Brighton or East Preston in the Final this year.

Are all the finals now held at the AMEX? and is it the DS Squad who play these games?

Bognor have a great record and tradition in the SSC, we only just scrapped past them the other year on an REMF style penalty shoot out, won my FDM.

Will make for a great final if we can get through tonight, whats the snow like in Worthing.

Definitely an East Prestonite for this one! Apart from living 3 decades of my life there and being very much involved with the club for many years (and still am), it is also huge for an SCFL club to get to the semi's of the SSC let alone the final. Although reality would be an easy win for the DS, but you never know... a bit of NK style passion and we could just scrape through!

Was at the Peacehaven v EP game Saturday. Massive game, in which EP got a last minute equaliser. Can't help but feel that goal will spur them on to win the title.

I believe it's only Peacehaven & Redhill who can gain promotion from County 1, though.

EP definitely won't get, and haven't applied for promotion to the Ryman. Just not ready for that step up and are still quite bare in the trophy cabinet of senior titles and cups, so best to get a few of them under our belt first. As far as the Div 1 championship is concerned I personally believe it is between Peacehaven and EP, although I think we should have it because not having won the County League title, PTFC should allow us this luxury, they've already won a few!

I think EP have it in the bag. Peacehaven do still need to play Worthing United twice though, so that's 6 points on the board almost guaranteed.

Another thing I don't agree with, and I don't know what your view is on this, but... If EP was to win the league, and Peacehaven was to come 2nd. Peacehaven wouldn't gain promotion (despite coming in the promotion places) as the team who finished above them (EP obviously) won't gain promotion. Can see both sides of it, but I really don't agree with it myself.

Apparently the final is pencilled in for Sunday 12th May at The Amex but may be changed depending on Brighton's play-off fixtures.
