Jimmy Case's autobiography

Would have thought this might interest a few on here.

From what I can grasp, Jimmy Case has an autobiography in the offing, which is currently available by means of a website called Unbound. Apologies if I'm teaching people to suck eggs, but I'd never heard of it until this point, so.... It's seemingly a means for unpublished authors to get their books published, presumably by gathering support online.

According to the blurb I've read online, it works like this...

Unbound is a new way to help authors get their books published. 'Supporters' contribute towards getting the book published and in return get a number of goodies. The donations are far from extortionate and everyone who contributes gets their name printed in the book's credits.

eg.

£10 gets you the ebook
£20 gets you a first edition hard back
£50 gets you a signed, dedicated hard back

Hard Case

Looks like he needs another 522 donations to get it out there. So there you go. Presume it would include a bit of Albion-time in amongst a lot of Liverpool-loving? Might be interesting. It's a tad surprising that somebody with his football profile yseemingly can't get an autobiography published by normal means, when 17 year old members of One Direction have the biography, the photo-book and the DVD by the end of their first month in the charts...

He's also on Twitter these days JimmyCase8. If yer interested, like

Could be a great read.

A brilliant midfielder with everything in his game over a very long career.
Once we thought he'd passed it (another weird decision in the history of the club), he went on to rule centre midfield in the top flight for Southampton for another 6 seasons.

Liverpool love - why not? His home town club who ruled England and Europe whilst he was there.

Add some stories about the wild socialising and boozing that went on, I hope it gets to hardback.

Good luck to him but most footballer's autobiographies, including those ex-Albion, are mind numbingly boring and badly written. Garry Nelson excepted.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
His brother is/was a builder in Liverpool (Frank Case I think), and used to have the legend "Brother of Jimmy Case" in large letters on his van.

I'm confused. Will it come in a hard case?

Which Albion ones would you include in that category?

Some of the best rated don't talk about football that much, but open up on other stuff.

Gazza's was good.

Cascarino's (never read it) is said to be exceptional.

I realise that, but I figured some people might be interested anyway, given his Albion connections. I have no idea if its any good or not, but perhaps the odd individual would like to find out. He did work under Archer & Bellotti so he might have a story or two to tell.

Fair point.

Gary Nelsons memoirs are quality.

I do hope this interweb selling malarky works for him & he hasn't turned down a handy advance from a publisher. Still, I guess if it all goes Google-up it'll give him plenty of material for a follow up. Now if only I could come up with a snappy title for him...

Any Albion in Joe Corrigan, Frank Worthington and Martin Chivers' autobiographies?

Charlie Oatways is a bit dull too IMO.

Hardly surprising though. I know he is our Charlie. But Case can talk about European Cups, FA Cups, League Cups, Championships etc etc etc...What can Charlie talk about??? Coffee cups, tea cups, doing a little bit of bird, supporting QPR, being mates with some aresholes when he was a lad and having a long name. Hardly going to win the Booker Prize,,,,,the Bob Booker prize maybe, but nothing else.

I'm surprised Steve Foster has not done an autobiography.
