Albion midfielder Vicente is anticipating a more attack-minded game on Saturday when play-off rivals Leicester visit the Amex.
*
Gus Poyet’s side were frustrated by a dogged Charlton Athletic side in Tuesday’s goalless draw, but Vicente is hopeful the Foxes will arrive on the south coast looking for all three points.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “Maybe we play better against bigger teams because they play football, they don’t only defend. But let´s see what happens on Saturday, we know it will be a great atmosphere and we want to take advantage of it.
*
"We play at home (on Saturday) and we have an advantage because of that. At the Amex we are playing very well, creating a lot of chances but the point is to score. What we hope for is that Leicester come to play a little bit more, not only to defend.”
*
Meanwhile, the former Spanish international believes Albion were unlucky not to secure the win against the Addicks in the Amex stalemate.“We had a lot of chances to score but when the ball doesn’t want to go in it´s like that. The team deserved to win by far but it´s football and if you don´t score you don´t win.
*
“Charlton had their plan and during the first half they were very focused, and didn´t allow us to play our football. But in the second half when they started to tire we had more space and chances to score.
*
“We should have won the game by two, three or four goals but at the end you get a point. The team attacked a lot but did not get the reward of the goal.
*
“However, it doesn’t feel like a defeat because we got a point and the other teams around us are not winning either. Of course we all want to win and have more of an advantage but we have it in our hands.”
Leicester tickets are available to all Albion fans, regardless of loyalty points or previous booking history. Purchase online, call the ticketline on 0844 327 1901 or visit either of the club’s ticket offices, located at the Amex and in Queens Road, Brighton.
