After their successful gathering at the Amex last year Jehovah’s Witnesses are looking forward to holding their annual three-day, Bible based, convention here, again, this year between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th July.
The stadium proved to be an excellent venue, with great facilities, which made the occasion even more enjoyable and successful.
The convention at the Amex will be one of 42 such events held throughout the UK this year (including many in foreign languages), and hundreds worldwide - in 239 countries.
Local Witnesses, and those from East and West Sussex, will be joined at the Amex by others from Kent, South London and from just over the Hampshire borders. Many members of the public will be welcome guests too as an attendance of more than 9,000 is anticipated.
The Bible based convention has the theme “God’s Word is Truth” (John 17:17) and is designed to bolster faith during these challenging times and show how applying Bible principles can reduce anxiety and make lives more meaningful and successful.
More than 40 different, fast moving, Bible based talks, together with other presentation, interviews and demonstrations, will be presented over the three days.
A large platform will be constructed in the North Stand from where the program will be delivered.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are family oriented so young and old will be gathered together, with special provision for parents with babies - and indoor seating for the elderly and infirm, who will be cared for throughout the conventions by volunteer helpers. The many stadium food outlets will be well used during the intervals.
The entire program is open to anyone who wishes to attend and all are welcome for any part of the three-day programme. Admission is completely free of charge and session times run between 9.20am and 4.55pm each day.
