Apart from orlandi we had no one who could change a game, would like to see solly march and jfc given a few mins here and there.

If we weren't seriously in the play-off hunt I think you would have seen it.

Tonight it showed you sometimes have to gamble, but it could equally have gone bad had the youngsters got their chance and then imagine what NSC would look like and the slating the players would unfairly get let alone calls for Gus' head

Agreed. All our aces where played from the off which left the bench weak.

As much as I rate JFC, he clearly won't get a look in with us whilst Gus is boss. Expect him to move on sooner rather than later.

If you look at the squad it's not very balanced, especially now we are starting with 2 wingers and haven't got and in reserve. I know Vicente and orlandi can play wide but are both better through the middle.

No chance! They are not good enough to get match time at the moment when promotion is still possible. There is too much at stake. None of the Development Squad exactly have good reports when out on loan have they? Even Jake Robinson used to excel at Conference level.

But you don't know they are not good enough if they dont get given a chance, jfc should last year he is good enough and hasn't had a sniff since. Jfc showed more in his 6 games last year than crofts has shown since being back.

This, unfortunately. If they were good enough / ready Gus would give them
a chance. He did with Dunk. Throwing development squad players in in the final games of a promotion push is not the time to do it. The club has moved on from those days.

But they are being given a chance at other clubs on loan..... If they cant shine for them they have no chance with us.

This is all about promotion, not giving fringe players a run out.....

Towards the end we didn't really look like we needed someone to change the game, we just needed someone to put the ball in the net. It's frustrating because we didn't score, but we certainly created chances.

When ever I suggest that more youngsters should get a try it's never the right time , when is the right time.

Not now!!

The right time is when the season is effectively over and you can throw them in and see how they progress..... Promotions from this league are worth millions and you cannot muck about trialing kids at this stage.....its pretty obvious stuff...

This.

The investment (despite the losses) hasn't given us a SQUAD yet of the quality of say Cardiff or Watford's.

Not bothered that CMS wasn't on the bench. A wasted £3.25m, and not a game changer/match winner at this level.

In hindsight it would probably have been better to start Orlandi and have the explosive Lualua off the bench, that said Orlandi will be fresh for Saturday now which is arguably the more important game.
