ANDREA Orlandi has praised fans for helping to restore a feelgood factor to The Amex.
The play-off chasing Seagulls have a chance to strengthen their promotion challenge in their 50th match at the stadium against Charlton Athletic tonight.
They won only two matches out of ten at The Amex earlier in the season but have taken 16 points out of 18 in 2013 and are seeking a fourth straight home victory against away specialists Charlton to build on Saturday's 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest. Midfielder Orlandi said: “They are strong, like every team in the league. They are going to put a shift in and it's going to be hard for us, especially at home where teams try to stop us from playing and counter-attack.
“We will have to start better than we did against Forest, that’s for sure, and at The Amex we've been doing that. We are starting games well.
“I remember we couldn’t win at home but we have overcome that situation. We had a spell where we couldn’t really win.
“We’ve come back and with our fans we have created a kind of relationship that is helping us. You can feel they are behind us now and they believe we can make it. It’s good to feel that.”
Goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak and defensive midfielder Liam Bridcutt return after illness ruled both out of the Forest game but first choice right-back Bruno (calf) is still sidelined.
Centre-half Adam El-Abd is back in the squad following a two-match ban.
Charlton have illness concerns over Matt Taylor, Dale Stephens and Callum Harriott, while Ricardo Fuller is an injury doubt.
