Albion secured one of the most famous away wins in*their history at the City Ground.
But their most recent success at Nottingham Forest – secured by Adam Virgo – was also a result to cherish.
Virgo struck the only goal of the game with a first-half header and Michel Kuipers shone between the sticks to grab a 1-0 Championship win for Mark McGhee's newly-promoted side in 2004.
The game also produced an iconic photo by Simon Dack of a bloodied Danny Cullip thanking Albion’s fans at the final whistle.
That was the Seagulls’ only win at Forest in their nine visits they have made since THAT win in the mud in 1979-80.
“Miracles can still happen” said the Evening Argus headline after 21st-placed Albion, in their first top-flight season, won 1-0 away to the European champions.
Gerry Ryan trundled a shot through the mud for the only goal, Peter Ward sparkled and Graham Moseley saved a penalty.
Albion lost six of their next seven games at Forest but have drawn on the last two visits.
