Darius Henderson celebrates a goal during Nottingham Forest's recent 6-1 defeat of Huddersfield
Billy Davies can inch himself into folklore by masterminding another Nottingham Forest win today.
Forest will equal their club record of seven successive league victories if they beat Albion at the City Ground.
The existing record was*set way back in 1921.
Forest have taken 19 points from a possible 21 since Davies was appointed for a second stint as manager.
He was sacked after play-off defeat to Swansea City at the end of the 2010-11 season.
The former Derby boss has introduced greater urgency into the under-achieving Trentside outfit.
They will press Albion in possession and they have attacking flair in their 4-1-3-2 formation.
Former Albion loanee Darius Henderson could start in attack alongside top assists-provider Simon Cox but left-back Dan Harding is expected to be on the bench at best.
Another ex-Seagulls loanee Gonzalo Jara Reyes has done well at right-back recently.
However Davies could opt to rest the Chilean after an exhausting midweek round trip to South America to represent his country.
Davies makes no secret of his ambitions for Forest in the coming weeks.
He recently told the BBC: “To get this club to the Premier League, it’s very personal and would be an outstanding achievement to prove all those doubters absolutely wrong,”
