I actually got abducted by Lithuanians criminals although, bizarrely, it was only the last minute intervention of Hollywood actor Liam Neeson that stopped me from being sold as a sex slave.

I booked my hotel for Nottingham this weekend as a secret hotel last week on Expedia.

I paid £62 for the 4* Park Plazza in the centre of town.

Used Hotwire a couple of times and got the Novotel for £35 a pop - excellent value. The only danger appears to be hidden costs like parking (usually £10-15 around the airport) although last time the Novotel didn't charge me at all.

Used it a couple of times and had one lovely 5 star on Park lane and another pretty decent 4 star near victoria.... both cost me about £50 a night.
