Kevin Davis is being interviewed on TalkSport at the moment with regards to his contract not being renewed. At the beggining on the conversation with the presenter he said he has the possibility of going out on loan in the next few days. Further on in the interview he went on to say he had had offers from a couple of clubs in the top 6 or SEVERN in the Championship. He also said he wasn't fussed about staying up north.

Could do a job?

Slow, not prolific. If we get someone like Simeon Jackson and Gus wants a battering ram as back up I could see some merit in him but to be honest I doubt he wants to come and sit on the bench!

Brilliant character maybe slightly past his best but his experience could be very valuable. Could do a similar job to Jason Roberts last year!

If he understood his role as understudy to Ulloa then this would be a BRILLIANT loan move.

By all accounts a top professional as well.

Gus plays one up front. So he brings off Ulloa and brings on Jackson?? I don't see Jackson as the type of player to play on his own up front.

To be able to bring Davies on for Ulloa would be a like for like swap and we could carry on playing the same way.

He can also play the Barnes roll well.

We would also then have the option of resting Ulloa if we needed to and still play the same formation.

I'd love a bit of Kevin Davies action, loads of people on here ******* themselves silly over Jackson, not sure why. Davies would be a much more suitable loanee IMO.

Apparently he'll be out of contract 5 days before 10 years with the club, so missing out on a testimonial.

Think he would be a great like for like sub if Ulloa gets injured and signing him and Jackson would increase our options of any 1 or 2 from 3 which gives Gus a good choice depending on how the game is going
