What managers WOULD have taken the reading job?

So Gus has rejected a club higher up the football league than us with a promise of a big transfer budget and, now I'm just guessing, a pay rise.

Much respect to him for that. We're very lucky.


But, what other managers, if they were working with us and were then offered the Reading job, would have jumped ship?

I'll start:


Steve Bruce. Off like a (potato faced) rat up a drainpipe.

I was referring to the reported big transfer fee pot he'd get if Reading were relegated

Think about it though, they are going to get relegated. How many managers want relegation on there CV?

He must have been offered better money for a new job. And then, more money to play with when they are relegated.

PLENTY of managers would have gone for it.

Plenty of normal people would in another work environment.
