Just 4 days before we play Wolves.

What if Palace need a point to secure a play-off place and to keep us out. And Millwall, currently five points off the relegation zone, need a point to stay up.

What then?

That's not really a serious question is it?

There are endless permutations of what might or might not be needed between now and end of season and that isn't one of them

You are 10 years behind times : All still have deliberately simultaneous final day fixtures after this match
Do keep up

Millwall would be safe anyway as other teams would have one game left, so maximum their rivals could obtain would be three points.

I think you need to ask someone to read it to you again . My whole point being what if the final outcome is resolved before the final round of games for example the above captioned match. You appear to be some sort of JCL who has no recollection of the 2007/8 season. When the Albion were consigned to 7th place prior to the last fixture.

Millwall would love top put one over on Palace - They detest them and actually don't mind us. They are always appreciative of the support we bring to The Den, they love a good atmosphere.

If this is the case, it'll be because we've not done well enough over the course of the season.

There are thousands of possible potential tables on 30th April as it stands, so I can't see the point in worrying at this stage about one of them.

Also, if we are 'stitched up' as above, or by 'Forest-Leicester', or whoever, then we only have OURSELVES to blame.

If it ever got to that stage and we stayed in 7th, we would all look back and say we drew to many games. What we lacked in goals was not due to a lack of passion.

Got to say I have been thinking about the possibility of this very outcome, would they play out a draw? Probably.

Another scenario could be us and Wolves, last game, we need a point to secure play off, they need a point to secure against relegation. Would we play play out a draw? Probably.

Rochdale 1972 - we needed a point to go up, they needed one to stay up. Two early goals, 1-1. Not the most competitive game I've ever seen ...
