Why are the managers of clubs above us not linked in the way that Poyet is? Why not Malky McKay? Zola? Bruce? It was the same last season when Adkins was flying with Southampton and McDermott at Reading, but the name you mostly heard bandied about out of those two and Gus for managerial vacancies was Poyets.

Who cares. Let's enjoy what we've got, and when he goes we'll hope for an excellent replacement.

The same as their players. Always our players. Maybe all the clubs must still think we're a selling club and can come and get our managers and players when they want and we'll say yes unlike the others.

Wouldn't be surprised if poyet's agent is touting him around and it's known in football circles that he wants a premiership job.

Because we have a club, a chairman, a manager, a squad, a stadium, fans, a vibe, a future, the sea, the Downs, fresh air, a tolerance, a general joie de vivre, humour, passion, expensive housing, low average wage, (okay, forget those last two!), stunning foreign students, the North Laine, and, most of all, a smile on our faces.
Point being, who (with any common sense) would not be showing interest?

Then we have Croydon......

Who knows? Perhaps the next time a managers job becomes available in the prem we should scout other teams forums to see if they have the same kind of threads that we have every time one comes up?

Poyet is a bigger name than most (although that is true with Zola as well), hasn't had a managerial failure yet and foreign managers are still in vogue.

Deffo this. Gus is ( arguably ) one of the highest profile managers outside the Prem

Zola's been linked with the vacant Chelsea manager's job in the summer but having said that it was in The Sun yesterday so I'd take it with a large pinch of salt EVEN if he got Watford promoted.
