Somewhere in the grubby streets of the Heath, Croydon East, Shirley Oaks and Dulwich the Palace fans are stirring in their sleep. They are CERTAIN they will come to Falmer tomorrow for another routine victory, a good singsong about gays and then back up the A23 for cocktails in the Oaks.
Their bright Harlequin Shirts and bobble hats are hanging up ready for the trip, their lunches are packed and they have their bunches of lucky heather secured...
But they are coming to face Brghton and Hove Albion at the Amex, the team is depleted but AT LAST Gus gets that we really care about this one..the fans will play their part and all we need is 11 players to perform to their top ability and we will crucify the twats.
