Don't get me wrong - I fully support any charity event and have
contributed.

But the BBC's crass tediousness of watching irritating people dress
up as cows, newsreaders prancing around as if its funny and
unfunny people trying to be funny annoys the **** out of
me.

Use your imagination please and actually *do* something funny.

It's not Comic Relief any more, is it? It's very much Celeb Relief.

And the truth is, we'd all be mightily relieved if most of them just disappeared.

Slightly off topic but I listened to the desert island disc podcast recently with Dawn French and realised that I want to marry her. What a lovely lady she is.

Must admit, the longer Comic Relief has gone on over the years, the less likely I am to be watching it.

It's not just the awful evening "entertainment" that does my head in - it's the enforced jollity in the office and the expectation that you would want to make a complete prat of yourself !!!! Take my money by all means but stop expecting me to join in.

She's be even more attractive if she wasn't a fat, unfunny, swampdonkey.

According to the latest official accounts, Comic Relief had over £150M invested at the end of July 2012 and employs 250+ staff. I'm not sure, therefore, why we need such a media fuelled extravaganza each year to raise yet more money for this particular charity. I prefer to give my money to smaller charities with lower overheads, many of which are struggling financially, but also have worthwhile charitable objectives.

Yeah, I just don't get why it's funny/interesting to watch celebs doing things that aren't the things that they're celebs for.

Welcome to almost every reality TV show of the last 5 years.

I can't slag off the idea of comic relief as it's OBVIOUSLY a ridiculously good cause.

However, one of our marketing ladies came in this morning in her Duck Onesie DEMANDING that we sponsor her for wearing it.

No. That's not how it works is it. You sponsor them in advance or with prior knowledge that they are going to do something stupid. I can't walk in and say "Hi Guys, I ate 56 eggs this morning as a comic relief challenge so now sponsor me"

Have you seen how hot Dawn French is now? Also, should you really make judgments on weight anyway? I mean, it is personality that counts more than appearance.
