'The spirit of Teesside is in its people and we want to harness that spirit to inspire the team in the way we all know it can,' he said.
'Our Season Card holders make an emotional commitment to the club and are really important to us.

'We're in a great position to compete at the top level of English football - we have a modern stadium, a first class training ground and we're free of external debt.
'Teesside needs a Premier League football club and the Premier League is the only place we want to be.'

Then again, if you've seen their attendances, then you'll realise why. A nice gesture for sure, but I doubt we'll ever see TB and Barber being that generous. They simply don't need to.

They get about 8 people at every home game, for quite a big club doing alright in the league, their attendances are absolutely pathetic. They need all the promotions they can offer!
