Do you have to pay extra for the tactics truck or does that come included in the price for Townsend?

I had the pleasure of looking after Martin Peters for the afternoon when he was an after-dinner speaker in Brighton in 2006. What a lovely fellow. Well worth the fee.

Those prices are usually standard prices; they tend to drop the price a little if it's a cheridee do. Assuming Mr Tithe, the meaningless middle-man (sorry, *cough* agent) doesn't stick his grubby hands in.

Blimey, they're cheap.

I've been involved in several awards dinners over the years and the prices we're quoted are generally £2 or 3k and upwards. We used to get comedians who hadn't made it on TV as they were the cheap end of the market. If I'd known sportspeople were that cheap, we'd have branched out.

Dear Sir

If you need any Olympic or Paralympian medallists give me a shout!

Must it be a football speaker?
Its Ashes this summer and many Aussie cricket legends are over here and many do after dinner speches.
We have Merv [the swerve] Hughes coming to our club this year - I think he's £500
4 years ago we had Rodney [12.43] Hogg who had some great stories to tell - I think he was £400

Football is always OVERPRICED !

Yep, comedians start at 2 to 3 times those prices. Quite surprised how little some of them were charging.

£2,850 for a trio of Tommy Smith, Norman 'Bites Yer Legs' Hunter and Ron 'Chopper' Harris sounds reasonable with a 5 minute food fight thrown in.
