Keith Nieland's Blog Here is how I saw the day light robbery at the Reebok. Watching the game it was difficult to throw much light on the Barnes sending off other than assuming it was for lipping the ref once to often. It should have been one point at least and could so easily have been three.

I was there too and, while we obviously deserved to win, I feel you're being a tad harsh on Bolton. Though largely anonymous in attack, they kept the ball well in midfield, shored up by a defence that, at first looking serially lucky, was in fact outstandingly effective. Same old Dougie…

I pretty much agree with you there, but while you worked hard and deserved a goal, the fact you didn't get one due to our defensive discipline deserves credit. We were a shambles defensively before Dougie came in but a lot of work has gone in to eradicate this and the fact is if we keep clean sheets we won't be losing games.
