Andrew Crofts reckons Albion go into the last ten games of the season in good heart – despite defeat at Bolton.
The Seagulls can go fifth if they win at Barnsley on Tuesday and Leicester lose at Cardiff.
They missed a great chance to strengthen their play-off push when they lost 1-0 at The Reebok.
Midfielder Crofts said: “Them going 1-0 up was big because, at the time they scored, we were probably on top.
“Obviously stats don’t win you the game but we had a lot more shots, a lot more crosses and to come away with nothing is bitterly disappointing when you think you should have taken something out of the game.
“That’s football. We put in a really positive performance out there.
“Bolton are a good side. They will probably be among it until the end of the season.
“But we are nice and positive for Tuesday even though we came out on the wrong side of the result.
“I think the boys are looking forward to Tuesday.”
