Tuesday

Cardiff v Leicester
Barnsley v Brighton

Saturday
Derby v Leicester
Hull v Forest

Even after Tuesday , if we winn we will be 5th with same games played. Even more margin for error with a nice 5 pt cushion to 8th.
Then hard to make a case for either side getting anything on Saturday.

We've got to keep our heads.

Bolton wont be consistent for the last 9 based on how that went.

After Tuesday I'm convinced we'll be buzzing going into the scum game.

The striker thing is nightmare but Poyet will sort that this week.

We would of probably taken this position in August

Good summary of our position and potential for the next two matches.

Pretty sure we will get six points and be back up there.

You've genuinely made me feel less grumpy after that!

It's still in our hands but to be in with a shout I really feel we need to be in touching distance/ahead of Forest when we go there - for me that's the key game.

We might make the play offs, but do people honestly think we'd have a shout against either a Watford, a resurgent Forest or, dare I say it, a rampant Palace?......

:)

The situation's still pretty good although Derby v Leicester doesn't help much - Derby are hopeless now.

Who knows? With the experience in our side, particularly at the back, I wouldn't rule anything out.

Definitely worth being optimistic. Leicester at home and Forest away will be the tests.

You must have missed Gus' recent interview where he explained that Ulloa is struggling with fitness & the demands of the English game.

If you did see it and still think it's a twattish decision, you either don't understand football, or don't think we need him at the top of his game.

Maybe you could explain what the difference is between giving him the second 45 minutes instead of the first 45. He's a wee bit lardy, OK big-boned if you must, and that's not going to change anytime soon. Starting CMS instead of Ulloa v Bristol City was an upfcku pure and simple, and oddly reminiscent of when Jake Robinson scored a hat trick in one game and Wilkins started him on the bench for the next game. In both cases it seems to me to be all about the manager rather than the player. Both trying to prove a point, both upfckuing.

Tough run in

Thing with Forest they have gone on an unbelievable run to get in the mix. They wont keep that up.

Nice post a calming influence on us all. Im sure GP will sort something out before Tuesday which is another tricky game leading into the Palace game which I actually think we will win because this is the championship after all and we are prob not favourites

He was only subbed on because of the injury to CMS.

Should never have had to be subbed on in the first place though eh? You bring on the headless chicken to run around head-mentally when defenders legs are tiring, you don't look to start him ahead of the guy that scored three goals a couple of days earlier. That's a very poor call whichever way you look at it.

It's also worth considering that Bolton is THE form team in the division - unbeaten in 8, with 4 wins on the trot - so the away fixture is arguably the most difficult in the league at the moment.

I think Bolton will make the play offs at Leicester's expense, and a late goal somewhere on the last day of the season will see DF's Bolton take on Palace in the play-off semi's, a nightmare scenario for our friends up the road.
