Dean Hammond is expecting the Championship promotion race to go all the way as the Seagulls enter the business end
of the season.Ahead of Albion’s trip to play-off rivals Bolton Wanderers, the midfielder highlighted the importance of coming away from the Reebok Stadium with a result.
He told BBC Sussex’s Johnny Cantor, “Bolton have hit form at the right time just as we have, so it is a really good game. They are not too far behind us so if we can beat them or pick up a point then we are in a strong position.
“But nothing is decided yet, it’s very close and there are probably four, five or six teams fighting for second place.
“Even top spot really, as Cardiff were a long way clear and have fallen away a little bit. Outside the play-off places there’s Nottingham Forest, Leeds and Middlesbrough all looking strong, so it’s great and why this league is so fantastic.
“Anyone can beat anyone and I expect it will go right down to the wire in every aspect."
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old also felt it was a point gained rather than two lost at Bristol City on Tuesday, following the 0-0 draw against the division's basement side.
“It was a good point Tuesday away from home, because it was difficult against a team fighting for their lives. We didn’t play at our best but we have played well in other games this season and have come away with nothing, so it is a positive result.
“It is our ambition to make the Premier League and we are in a great position with 11 games to go so we will kick on.”
