P.C, laptop or Phone?

Over the years i've very sporadicly logged into N.S.C and done other stuff (definitely no porn mind) on the p.c. But because I'm shite at technology I would get frustrated and not bother. But since I got my first iPhone 3 and now 4 and bought a 4 for my wife, apart from backing up and software updates neither of us go on the p.c any more. I love my IPhone and now do everything on it (again, no porn mind) and you lucky people get to see a lot more of my mostly shockingly poor posts. So what do you mostly use?

Laptop for NSC and such like,i use the phone for most,PC for taking a leak when out and about.

Personal computer cheeky, not public convenience. I bloody love my phone but I worry I'm getting addicted to it. I can't put it down and even my wife who used to take the piss out of me for allways being on it, now can't put down her iPhone.

That's the thing with phones,there are so good today,i feel the need for a Laptop still,though funny enough i have downsized my 16 inch to a 10 inch notebook.

Laptop or tablet, I find my phone a bit to small but I'll go on it when other family members are on the laptop or tablet and I need/want to go on the internet.

They all have their places in my opinion.

Smart phones are great for communicating on the go and playing the odd game or listening to music to pass the time on journeys. Laptops are brilliant for carrying around all of your work and are much better for writing for prolonged periods than touchscreens. PCs are fantastic if you want to play some serious games or if you need the computing power for a specific task, it all just depends what you need them for.

You can even go on NSC on all three :thumbsup:

Personally, I use my phone a ridiculous amount, my laptop is primarily for uni work or a PC-substitute when I'm not at home (which is most of the time lately) and my PC only gets used when I am.

Also I'm well into my iPhone but all my mates and colleagues who used have an iPhone are now android users, namely Samsung. Is Android really that much better than I.O.S? (Bozzer need not post) ;-)

I know what you mean about Iphones, I am not what you would call someone who has to have all the latest phones etc. I spent two years using a basic samsung, but literally used it to ring people and very rarely check my emails online. Christmas 2012 I knew my girlfriend wanted an iphone 4s and got her one, I used to mock how really it was just a phone. But after having a go the games were quite fun but the deal breaker was me was BBC Iplayer and an app called crackle(free movies etc). I could actually catch up with programmes on the go etc and I soon got used to the screen. I went out and got myself one, there was a point where I could not put it down. I have TV's in nearly every room of the house but used to watch my programmes on the Iphone. I loved the fact I could watch a documentary on Iplayer or something on Sky and not have to sit through another episode of bloody emmerdale. This christmas she wanted a samsung S3, she basically heard from all her friends how great it is. To say she was disappointed is an understatement lol, she tried not to show it but I could tell. I used it for a week and after that realised how rubbish it was, it just is not as good as an Iphone imo.
Have you tired an Ipad? I did and to me it was not as good as a laptop, its basically a big Iphone but you cannot phone people with it.

I always use my laptop indoors for everything, the desk top has all but become redundant, sad really as the desk top is very new in essence, but just does not even get switched on these days, we both have laptops so I can see it dissapearing when we next decorate the bedroom its in.

I do use my Galaxy mobile for the internet but it does nothing more than mainly sports programmes when footie is on and i'm out (so saturdays really!!)the odd glance at facebook, but its main operation when i am away from the laptop is NSC, though moderating via a mobile is not the easiest (Tapatalk does help)

Recently I found the Sat Nav on my phone, just had never bothered with it in the past, as like everyone else I'm sure where needed I have a sat nav, but I was amazed at how good it was, which does beg the question, I wonder how many people really use their smart phones to their full potential? I know I don't.

The navigation on the Iphone is as good as any sat nav that I have used.

Well as I said i have the Samsung Galaxy and I was well impressed with the inbuilt system on that, I have a garmin navi 50 sat nav and it's without doubt as good as that, only differance really is the ease of operating maybe (and that is probably just getting used to using that function) but once the destination is set it really is very good.

I've been told by people switching to android, that they felt restricted by the Apple format but for me, because I'm definitely no techie, I like Apples easy to navigate iTunes and App Store.

I actually wonder how many people use it on there phones, they probably think it is crap in comparison to a sat nav when really it does exactly the same thing. Also no having to pay for updates or European maps etc.

You can also download programmes on Iplayer to watch when your out or away from WIFI/good signal. You could not do that on the Android one when I last looked.

I think Android is more competitively priced.. Nexus 4 is 300 euros. I watch Seagulls on the laptop and tapatalk on the tablet/phone.

I switched to android for that reason, after 1 1/2 years though my HTC sensation started to shut down randomly and glitch like crazy, and i got fed up with the poor quality of apps on the android market. Upgraded back to an iPhone 5 and now can't think of why I wanted to switch to android, the iPhone just works.

Someone will probably correct me but...

I work shifts and wanted the phone to go silent or quiet at certain times dependant an calendar entries. I could not get an iPhone all to do this (and yes, I know you can flip the switch but I would forget).
My nexus 4 does this.
