What are the best o/s type maps for trekking over the hills and as well as urban awareness for the Brighton/south Downs area?

O/S Explorer range are the best for walking. If you have an iPad you can load up a map from online and you can take a screenshot to keep in your photos. That is what i do if i need an area i haven't got.
