I'm no fan of the Mail but that is terrific.

I was at that game against Charlton at the Goldstone in 1979 - lurking in the shadows down the front of the South Stand towards the East Terrace. I seem to recall it was a bank holiday Monday and a huge crowd - it looked and felt rammed, probably well beyond the declared attendence!

I was there too - the attendance was over 30k, wasn't it?!
