Don't expect Bridge or Vicente to feature so Bruno and Barnes instead.

That's the team I hope we can field, as that's the team that'll take three points from Bolton in their own backyard. I'm sure of it.

0-1 Brighton (Orlandi 61st)

Bridge was close to starting last night so would expect him for Sat.

I remember the last time he was out he was close to coming back every game but didn't for ages. Hasn't he had a hamstring problem? If so I would expect it to take longer to heal than a couple of weeks. I never trust what Gus says about how fit players are these days

Hope you're right though

To be fair the club are hardly reliable when it comes to reporting injuries. I guess Gus wants to keep them quiet, which is fine, but wouldn't take anything said in terms of how close a player is to fitness seriously.

If certain people are fit enough:

Kuszczak
Calde - El Abd - Upson - Bridge
Bridcutt - Hammond
Lopez - Vicente - Orlandi
Ulloa

Vicente with a free role, being replaced by Buckley after 70 minutes

Yeah, I had the distinct impression he was being rested for Bolton. Same with Ulloa, who ended up having to put a shift in because of CMS's injury. The only thing stopping Vicente was a bit of muscle tightness, you'd have thought he'd have recovered by now and would be available for selection.

Assuming Bridge is available, I'd put Calderon in a holding midfield three with Bridcutt and Hammond. Definitely take one point here.

Everyone is putting Vicente in their side but where has he been for the last two games? No news as usual from the club. Just left in the dark again. Are we going through another ' no-show period ' of 5-6 games with no information coming out of the club. If Gus is wrapping him up in cotton wool for specific games, then it would be nice to know. He appears fit, owes us an unbroken run of games, yet here we are guessing again.
As previously said, Gus may as well put men behind the ball and play for 0-0 again. I am looking forward to a trip to Bolton ( its not far )and watching 90 minutes without a shot on goal again will warm the cockles of my heart.
