Given the comfortable nature of the final result it was somewhat galling that we didn’t land our bets at the weekend, having focused once again on holding a half-time lead.
However, the form of the team going into Tuesday's match against Bristol City is very good and confidence will be high that another three points are achievable.
BetButler have scoured the marketplace and offer odds of 2.30 on a Brighton victory, with the home side priced up a point longer at 3.30, while the Draw is considered the outsider at 3.50.
Immediately I have to say that the 2.30 on an Albion success is overpriced and so must be taken. The draw is arguably a little long but does not quite represent the same value and a better insurance bet would be to back 0-0 at 12.00.
Although Bristol are fighting for their Championship survival, I believe the back four can remain resolute and so the 2.20 for "NO" in the Both Teams to Score category should also be taken.
Palace tickets are available to supporters with a purchase history within the previous three seasons. Buy*online, via the ticketline – 0844 327 1901 – or in person at both ticket offices.
