Leo Ulloa has made his presence felt at Albion
LEO Ulloa has been praised for the impact he has made at Albion.
The Argentinian target man clinched Tuesday’s 2-0 win at leaders Cardiff deep into injury time.
It was his first goal in the Championship and second in five appearances after scoring on his debut against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
But it is not just Ulloa’s goals that have made him an instant hit for the Seagulls since his £2 million move last month from Spanish club Almeria.
Coach Charlie Oatway told The Argus: “Ulloa over the last few games has brought us something different. He has added a little bit more firepower but relief as well.
“You saw how many balls he headed away against Cardiff. He was in the box defending for us. He’s an extra man and he’s a presence. He kept their two centre-halves busy for big periods of the game, so he adds a lot to us.
“He has fitted in so well. He works so hard and he’s a gentleman, respectful to everyone. It could not have happened to a nicer guy.”
Oatway also says Albion’s multi-national dressing room is free of cliques.
He revealed: “When we are eating our pre-match meals the Spanish lads are not sitting on their own. You’ll have Bruno, for example, sitting with a couple of the English boys.”
