Pound getting an absolute pasting on Fx Markets .

Fallen 1.5c against USD and and about 100 pips against the Euro after the release of the Bank of England minutes at 9.30.am.

Some of the main points were ;

MPC considered cutting rates
Possible that further monetary stimulus alone is insufficient
Should consider other measures
More targeted intervention needed to boost demand .

It suggests they’re running out of ideas .

Yes, but give it a couple of days and it will bounce back, but probably only by 100-200 pips. Not back to the highs last month.

All I know is in getting battered at sending money to Denmark at the moment to spend but when I start my new job here in a couple of weeks it'll be worth even more money

Running out of ideas assumes that any of them had any ideas to start with.

Well, actually, I may be unfair there. The only idea they have is to protect their banker friends/elite. (Oh, and I'm historically a Conservative voter BTW).

Time to wake up a realise that ALL politicians are in it for themselves. Middle England is continually getting screwed by those in power.

The root cause is not having an economy which creates wealth. How can people get wealthy because their house goes up in 'value'? What is creating this 'value'?

bloody diesel has gone up to 144.9p pert litre and last week it was 138.9p per litre.

what the hell has made it jump 6p in a week!!!
