Albion winger Will Buckley says the clash against Hull City is the start of a vital sequence of games for the club.
*
Gus Poyet’s side currently linger just outside the play-off places and Buckley feels that the upcoming fixtures can play a key role in Albion's promotion hopes.
*
He told BBC Sussex’s Johnny Cantor, “It is going to be crucial as we are playing some of the best teams in the league over the next four or five games.
*
"It is going to be important for us but we will take every game as it comes as that is what we do, but it will have a big bearing about how we go about the run-in. We want to get in that top six and this is a big start for us.
*
“With the home games we need to start picking up some more points than we have done this season.”
*
Steve Bruce’s Tigers have excelled since he took the reigns in the summer, and currently lie third in the Championship on goal difference behind Leicester City; boasting an impressive away record as they travel down to the Amex.
*
“The way they have performed and their away form especially is something they have been very proud of as they have done very well. Away games in the Championship for anyone are tough.
*
“Cardiff have lost quite a few on the road so it shows even the top of the league team can struggle away from home. I didn’t play in the first league game against Hull but I know they are a strong outfit and they have proved that with their league position.
*
“It will be a big test but we always seem to play better at home against big teams and up our game, so hopefully we can do that again.”
