[h=3]Albion give trial to Ince[/h]8:53pm Monday 28th January 2013 in Albion By Andy Naylor
*Albion gave a run-out to Rohan Ince in a 4-0 win for the development squad against Ipswich at rain and windswept Lancing tonight.

* The giant 20-year-old from Chelsea featured in the centre of defence in a line-up which also included strikers Will Hoskins and Stephen Dobbie.

* Injury-plagued Ince, third cousin of Paul and nephew of former Albion centre-half Eric Young, had a loan spell at League One Yeovil earlier this season.

* Lewis Dunk was due to partner Ince but was delayed getting back from the Old Bailey, where he is involved in a court case.

* Marcos Painter's arrival was also delayed, so he only played the second half.

* Ipswich defender Joe Whight gifted Albion the lead on the stroke of half-time with an own goal as he attempted to clear a Solly March effort off the line.

* Whight then brought down Ben Sampayo just inside the box early in the second half but Dobbie, on target from the spot for the first team at Wolves earlier in the season, spooned the penalty over the bar.

* Dobbie made amends by setting up Hoskins for Albion's second goal on 76 minutes. Hoskins added the third with a sweet volley five minutes later and Dobbie cleverly dinked the fourth (90) after hitting the outside of a post from a tight angle moments earlier.

* Albion switched the game from The Amex to Lancing to protect the pitch, with two home matches in four days looming for the first team early next month against Hull and Blackburn Rovers.

* Albion (4-1-2-3): Brezovan; Richards (Painter 46), Ince, Akubuine, Sampayo; Kasim; March, Oatway Jnr; Goodwin (Dickenson 62), Hoskins, Dobbie. Subs not used: East, Agdestein.
