Leonardo Ulloa's Albion debut could be delayed
* Leonardo Ulloa's Albion debut is under threat from red tape and the weather.

* The Argentinian is in the squad for Saturday's trip to Birmingham, subject to the Seagulls receiving international clearance before tomorrow's noon deadline.

* Boss Gus Poyet has been warned it may not come through in time, due to the complicated nature of Ulloa's transfer from Spanish club Almeria.

* The cold snap could also delay squad No. 19 Ulloa's first appearance for Albion, which is likely to be from the bench.

* St Andrews has undersoil heating but Birmingham's FA Youth Cup tie at home to Bristol Rovers, scheduled for Solihull tomorrow night, has already been frozen off.

* Poyet said: "We know it is going to snow on Friday night, that's what the weather forecasters say.

* "You never know what is going to happen but we are travelling early. Birmingham assure us that if what is expected in terms of snow comes down the game is going to be played.

* "If it's worse then maybe we will have a problem. There is nothing you can do, you need to prepare like you are going to play and then we'll see but we are ready."

* Albion's preparations have been disrupted by the sub-zero temperatures. The Amex pitch was the only place they could train yesterday but it was out of bounds today to avoid wear and tear.
