Seagulls agree Hall deal
ALBION have ended their dispute with Spurs over Grant Hall’s move to the Premier League club.
The Seagulls have reached an undisclosed compensation deal with the North London giants following the departure of their centre-half prospect. Hall, 21, (pictured) rejected a new three-year contract offered by Albion before his contract expired last summer.
The Seagulls were entitled to compensation for his development, since he is under 24, and Spurs were keen to thrash out an agreement, rather than allowing the matter to be settled by a tribunal.
They had been tracking Hall's progress since last season in the development squad.
The former Lewes defender briefly broke into Albion's first team a year ago but feared a lack of opportunities this season with Gordon Greer, Adam El-Abd and Lewis Dunk ahead of him in the pecking order, together with Tommy Elphick prior to his move to Bournemouth.
Hall has been featuring regularly in Tottenham's under 21's team.
Vitalijs Maksimenko makes his Albion debut for the development squad at Millwall today (1pm) after the Seagulls secured international clearance to field their new Latvian defender.
