I have to say*I prefer this kick-off time to the traditional 3pm although it feels like a night game at this time of year.

5:17pm
Watford are unbeaten in their last four away games - a run kept alive by Manuel Almunia' s fine last-gasp save from a Sam Vokes header at Burnley last time out, when they drew 1-1.

5:14pm
On the other hand, Watford are one of four teams yet to keep an away clean sheet.

5:13pm
Some possibly relevant stats ahead of kick-off. Albion have failed to score at home in four games this season. After this afternoon's games,*they remain the only side to have drawn that many home blanks in the Championship this term. Meanwhile Watford remain top scorers away from home with 2.18 per game.

5:02pm
Looking at the results from this afternoon, a two-goal win would send Albion sixth.

5:00pm
Team news and line-ups are elsewhere on this site but essentially there are three Albion changes - Bruno, Orlandi and LuaLua for Dunk, Hammond and Buckley.

4:56pm
So how was Christmas Day then? Good lunch? Kids pleased with their presents? Did the 3D effect make it look like the Queen was actually standing in your living room? And, amid the festivities, did you pause to think that December 25 marked exactly four months since Albion last won at home on a Saturday? That last bit could change in the swirling rain of Falmer this evening. But it won't be easy.
