Tomasz Kuszczak is confident that a winning run is just around the corner...
Albion goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszcazk believes that it’s only a matter of time before the Seagulls pull together a winning run of form.
The former Manchester United shot stopper told seagulls.co.uk, “In some respects we are disappointed because we have only been drawing games and we know we have to collect three points to go forward. Maybe we are missing a bit of luck or a cool head in front of goal, but as long as we keep creating good chances we will score.
“We have great crowds and everyone wants us to win but unfortunately it’s not working for us at the moment. This is going to change though; we are going to catch great form because we create so many chances. The fact that we are unhappy with draws shows the expectation of the club, we want to go to the Premier League.
“Sometimes you have to play cleverly for the result and we have to learn how to collect the points because that is what will reward us at the end of the season.”
The Polish international spoke today’s trip to Blackburn and noted that preparation is key for the upcoming festive period.
“Blackburn is a big club, they played many years in the Premier League but it is different now. They play under big expectations and this is a difficult league, many teams from the Championship can compete in the Premier League.
“We’re going to try and control the game. Hopefully we will have enough to keep a clean sheet, perform well and score some goals. If we do this we will win.
“We know what we have to do over this Christmas period. It is a great time for us and the fans with lots of games coming up so it is important we remain professional and prepare for games as normal.
“Although it is a great time of year you have to think about the games, not the celebration so much. I will definitely be prepared because if we win one or two games in this period then we can move forward and stop talking about draws.”
“We are a team with big expectation, we want to go up and to do that we have to start winning games.”
