NSC - beating Bovril at its own game

Just did a search for "Mug of Bovril" in Google and the number two result, after Bovril's Wikipedia page, is for a thread on NSC.

And this wasn't with me signed in, therefore showing me results particularly relevant to me. I tried it in porn mode so it wouldn't recognise who was performing the search and still NSC came up number two, higher ranked than Bovril

Give it a go, see?

NSC is a powerful website. I wonder what other curious terms and phrases it ranks well for in Google

Last night, after returning from the Amex, I scalded myself with some hot bovril through sheer ineptitude. I was conducting a blind taste test between a mug made out of a teaspoon of 'jar' bovril, and one of those plastic cup ones you get from Poundland.

The two taste COMPLETELY different.

Funnily enough the reason for my searching in the first place was to find out where I could get some Bovril from. I failed to find any jars of it but discovered the pre made cups of powder in the 99p store and I'm about to give one a go.

When you say they taste completely different, is one greatly superior to the other? If so, which?

Brilliant. Some of these are great.

I notice the main board has a Page Rank of 4 which is pretty decent for a football forum. It would seem we're quite the authority.

How on earth are we top for "Dogging north east" though?

Seeing as you've got your analytics out Bozza, fancy telling us what the number one term is that drives search traffic to the site?

Something like "Brighton forum" I'm guessing?

I have to ask the obvious here - why were you Googling Bovril in the first place?

Well it's interesting. I'm very used to the traditional 'Bovril on toast' taste i.e. from a jar, and to be honest hadn't really noticed the difference between this and the taste of the 'takeaway Bovril' that I'll get at the Amex (£2 each) or from Poundland (8 for a quid); weirdly the takeaway cup one tasted MORE Bovrily than the one made from an actual jar - though admittedly the jar was much richer and thicker, as you'd expect.

Jury's out for me, and to be honest I'm happy with either.

Ironically just googled 'bovril poundland' and this thread came up top. Off on my lunch break to pick up a pack of the cups if they have any.
