Former Albion star and leading manager Dave Sexton has died aged 82.
Sexton scored 28 goals in 53 appearances for the club in the late 1950s.
He was considered to be the brains of the Albion strikeforce.
He went on to enjoy a successful managerial career, notably leading Chelsea to FA Cup glory in 1970 and the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year.
Sexton also had spells in charge of QPR, Manchester United, the England under-21 team and Coventry.
The Football Association's director of football development Sir Trevor Brooking said: “It is a sad day for English football.”
