Development squad striker Ben Dickenson has agreed a one-month loan deal with League Two Chesterfield.
The Spireites currently sit in 16th place in the fourth tier of English football, five points above the drop zone and six points off the play-offs.
*
Albion boss Gus Poyet recently praised the 19-year-old and admitted that the loan experience would be good for the young forward.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “There was a lot of interest and it will be good for him to play regularly in the Football League. He is strong and very quick, which makes a big difference at that level.
*
“We have kept him with us because we have wanted him to learn about the way we play, but it will be good for him to play some games too.”
*
Dickenson joined Albion during January 2012 from Dorchester and has featured regularly for the development squad, but is yet to make his first-team bow. However, he was an unused substitute for Albion’s Capital One Cup tie at Swindon Town in August.
