This draw with Leeds ultimately left Albion still in tenth spot
Albion slipped back to tenth place in the Championship today – the position in which they started the weekend.
The Seagulls nudged themselves above Huddersfield into ninth last night with their 2-2 home draw against Leeds.
However Huddersfield responded this afternoon with a 1-0 success at home to Bristol City after Sean Scannell hit the target.
Derby went level on points with the Seagulls as they thrashed Blackpool 4-1 at Pride Park, where Theo Robinson netted twice.
Gus Poyet’s men remain just a point below Wolves, who they visit next Saturday, and Nottingham Forest.
Wolves went down 2-0 at Burnley, where Charlie Austin scored his 19th goal of the season in all competitions to help put Sean Dyche's men level on points with Albion.
Millwall claimed arguably the result of the day by winning 4-1 at Forest as former Albion strikers Chris Wood and Darius Henderson both scored.
Peterborough, who visit The Amex on Tuesday, were beaten 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday and have dropped back into the relegation zone.
The Seagulls are three points off the top six, as they were when they kicked off against Leeds.
