MATCH UPDATES
FT: Albion's winless run stretches to four games as Emnes's deflected strike is enough to secure all three points for Mowbray's Middlesbrough.

90+4: Kazenga LuaLua cuts inside from the left but his powerful effort flies wide.

90+1: Massive cries for handball in the penalty area after Barnes's shot is blocked but D'Urso shakes his head and play continues.

88: Substitute Ishmael Miller latches on to a long ball and shrugs of the challenge of Liam Bridcutt to end up one-on-one with Kuszczak. The striker calmly slides the ball past the Polish keeper but his effort is agonisingly wide of the post. *

75: Tomasz Kuszczak has been mainly a spectator in the Albion goal in the second half but makes a terrific fingertip save low down to his right from Grant Leadbitter's driven 25-yard strike.

72: Steele just about deals with Barnes's stinging left footed drive before substitute Will Buckley has one shot blocked and curls the rebound just past the post.

66: Gus Poyet's team are asking some serious questions of their visitors as Steele's punch lands in the path of Andrew Crofts, but the midfielder drags his effort wide.

63: A brilliant save from Ashley Barnes's header from Steele rebounds into the path of Mackail-Smith who looks odds on to tap in for 1-1, but Andre Bikey manages to kick the ball off the Albion forward and it loops over the bar for a goal kick.
61: Albion fans are convinced Steele handled the ball outside his area but the referee Andy D'Urso is not convinced.

56: A floated cross to the back post is met by an exquisite volley by David Lopez but Steele once again denies Albion.

HT: Albion trailing to Emnes's fortuitous goal.

40: Mackail-Smith has looked lively on his comeback from injury and yet again is inches away from scoring. The striker curls an attempt just wide of Steele's left-hand post.

30: Wayne Bridge finds Craig Mackail-Smith with a brilliant curling ball in behind the defence but Jason Steele manages to tip the Scottish international's shot over the bar.

28: Albion nearly find an equaliser but Dean Hammond headers wide from six yards.

21: GOAL! Marvin Emnes gives the visitors the lead with a deflected strike.
