Issues with train travel

We travelled from Burgess Hill station today and were refused travel with our match tickets and had to pay £4.90 each despite telling the station staff that travel vouchers were not being issued this season. We were categorically told that we would be refused travel for the forthcoming season if we could not produce travel vouchers. Once we got to Brighton we spoke to the club ticket office who were very helpful, and I understand than the issue was resolved for those travelling later on today. I am still concerned that we are going to have this same issue when travelling with season tickets instead of travel vouchers next season. Can you give any reassurance that this misunderstanding has been cleared up and Southern Rail staff (especially at Burgess Hill) now understand the club's position?

Provided you had a vaild match ticket, you should have been given access to the train. The club will be reminding Southern Rail of their obligation to BHAFC supporters and asking them to inform ALL staff of the subsidised travel system.
