New Bridge Car Park

Hi,

I have bought one of the new car parking spaces and wonder if any one can give me a postcode for it.

I have tried to follow the directions given by the ticket office on Google Maps but get lost at the vital bit.

I live over 200 miles away and don't want to have to risk trying to find it amongst the normal match day chaos.

It's about a mile west of the stadium on land that was the defunct remains of Falmer High School. The post code for the bridge community education centre should send you to its proximity.

Driving from Brighton come either down Coldean lane or up the main Lewes Road from Brighton. Heading towards Lewes you should keep to the right and in about 400 yards after the bottom of Coldean Lane turn right at the traffic lights. Go through the new underpass and at the other side you go straight ahead and under the railway bridge and your there.

If your coming from Lewes then after the Stadium on the A27 bear left onto the A270 as if you were going to Stanmer park. Then turn left and go under the railway bridge and your there again.

I'm in the new car park too. Should be interesting on leaving when 650 cars try to squeeze under the bridge getting out. We shall see!!

I think it's BN1 9PW

[Edit] That postcode will get you to Lucraft Road - from which there is NO access to the new stadium car park.

BN1 9PU or BN2 4PN are the nearest post codes I can find to the car park. If you go to Google Maps you will see these locations. The access to the small tunnel under the railway line is from the A270. It is opposite Stanmer Park at a set of traffic lights. This depends on which way you are travelling on the A270. Hope this helps.

Not to mention the 2000+ cars leaving the Uni when the stewards send all cars to the same exit.

This will NOT get you to the car park. The Bridge Centre is reached by accessing it from Lucraft Road. There will definitely be NO access to the new stadium car park via Lucraft Road.

I'd also add the large numbers of pedestrians and cyclists who use the route under the bridge too. Anyone expecting a quick getaway will be disappointed.
