Incredible player on his day. Could take a cracking free-kick and had amazing dribbling ability. Not many defenders in the English game at the time (or even now) you can say that about.

When you posted that link I thought he had died. Phew! 'Only' in trouble for fraud.

Used to go and watch him as a kid at Ipswich, an immense defender he was, thunderous tackles - if he'd been playing now he'd be set up for life with all the careers he needed for himself and his wife, very very sad story.
