Is it possible to show how far we are into injury time on the scoreboard, rather than just stopping at 45 and 90 minutes on the match time?

Exactly what I was thinking whilst watching man c v man u. We would know when to start whistling for the final whistle.

Indeed. Law 7
Allowance for time lost
Allowance is made in either period for all time lost through:

•substitutions
•assessment of injury to players
•removal of injured players from the field of play for treatment
•wasting time
•any other cause
The allowance for time lost is at the discretion of the referee.

But it doesn't mention anything about stopping the clock! Fair does we all know irrespective of how much time the fourth officials says needs to be added it is absolutely up to the ref when he blows the final whistle. Can someone point to a league or FA rule which says the clock must stop on 45/90 minutes?

Way out west
This appears to be the same at all scoreboards - but not on TV coverage - does not make sense, particularly when the fourth official holds up a board telling you the minimum additional minutes!
