How much to advertise in Worthing Herald ?

Need to advertise a martial arts class.

Just looking to see how much to place an add or put a flier in each paper.

Or are there better lines of advertising such things ?

print advertising is on its arse, so if you wanted an advert in a local paper, there will be deals to be had.
You could always ask them to call you just before their deadline so you can get a deal.
For an alternative i would get a demo of your arts set up up in Worthing town centre on a saturday, showing people what its all about.
With people handing out flyers etc at the same time.

I would never advertise in the Worthing Herald. a few years ago we were phoned to place an advert for a nursing home we had worked on the refurblishment. A week later received a debt collectors shit letter demanding payment although no invoice had ever been received, had offered payment at time of phonecall and was told would be invoiced.
