A5 race from trap 5. Looks a tough ask but with Benny on the mend after a bit of vet work, hopefully he can put in a decent effort.

Interestingly he runs against his Brother (Riverside Hawk) who runs from trap 4. They have been running at same grades with similar times so was always likely to meet up at some point!

Slow out the traps today 4.36, he's only done one slower 4.37 since we bought him. 30.59 wasn't too bad for the race though, in fact he's only run faster twice since July.

Winner was 4.17 and 30.03

Track was running very slow today Gaz. Think we can explain the slow start...... After the kennel hand asked the racing manager to replay the start in slow mo, it turns out that Benny actually turned round in the trap so was facing the wrong way after the flag was waved. He did jump round to face back the right way just as lids flipped, but unsurprising he was slow out of the traps! He's never done that before and hopefully will never do it again as a fast start is vital for Benny to win any race. Oh well hopefully his odds will lengthen next time out!!!

Wow the winner did 30.03 on a slow track - don't know what they fed him this morning
